Current Student Research Assistants
Ella Swan '23, Psychology Major, Education Studies and Spanish Double Minor
I am a junior from Nashville, TN; and this will be my second year in lab. I am really excited to be able to continue research as we are studying coping and stress during COVID. In addition to being in research, I am on the women’s varsity tennis team and co-president of the student athlete advisory committee.
Grace Connelly '23, Psychology and Global Health Double Major
I am a Junior at Allegheny College. This is my second semester of involvement with the Healthy Families lab. Last semester, I focused on how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the division of labor within families. Beyond the lab, I am also involved with the Animal Welfare club on campus, as well as Alpha Chi Omega, an organization that raises awareness for domestic violence. I also volunteer at our campus coffee shop in my spare time, Grounds for Change. I am looking forward to learning more about myself as a psychology student and contributing to the lab this fall!
Sarah Brammell '23, Psychology Major, English and Spanish Double Minor
I’m a third-year psychology student, and I’m excited to get more experience in my prospective field! Outside of classes, I work as a speaking consultant in Pelletier Library; act, direct, and PR manage for Student Experimental Theater, and hang out with my cat, Fred.
Claire Henderson '23, Psychology Major, Chemistry Minor
I am a junior and wanted to be a part of this lab since I would like to work with children in the future, and potentially pursue a PhD in psychology. In my free time, I like to watch movies, tv shows, and explore the outdoors (hike, kayak, and white water raft!).
Claire Marsh '23, Psychology Major, Classical Studies Minor Lainee Swanson '24, Biochemistry Major, Psychology Minor
I’m a sophomore here at Allegheny and I’m from a really small town called Brockway, Pennsylvania that's about an hour and 45 minutes from the school. I’m planning to major in Biochemistry and minor in Psychology, but the end goal is to become a pediatrician. I love working out, hiking outdoors, baking, and school.
