The Allegheny Health Families Lab is a developmental psychopathology lab, meaning we are focused on pathways of risk and resilience in youth. The primary pathways we are currently interested in are related to parenting and youth responses to stress (both behavioral responses and physiological responses). In particular, we examine the role parents play, through modeling and explicit discussions, in socializing adaptive or maladaptive responses to stress in their children.
